Twenty-seven year-old Ian Michael Deutch was on his second day at work after serving in Afghanistan, when he was shot several times outside Terrible's Lakeside Casino on Monday afternoon. Nye County Sheriff Tony DeMeo says it began as a case of domestic violence that spilled over into the casino parking lot, when 30-year-old James Chaffin fired several rounds from an automatic rifle, striking Deutch several times. He died late Monday night at University Medical Center. Another deputy fired back, killing Chaffin.

ATTTENCHANT *21-GUN SALUTE - TAPS* HAND SALUTE

  • First and foremost, I would like to pay my sincerest condolences to a fallen hero. I did not know this man personally, but I came across this video, and felt it would do me a great honor to pay my respects. Rest in peace fellow soldier, brother in arms, upholder of freadom and the American way.

on another note, @GotOneLifeToLive, pathetice excuses of human waste like yourself hide behind the internet just to get a rise out of people. Choosing a subject concerning a fallen soldier is pathetic

  • I didn't know Ian either, but want to leave my deepest sympathy for his loss and prayers for his family. What a waste. Seems like a true patriot and great guy.

    RIP from Austin, TX

  • A Great Man and a Patriot! R.I.P.
