Thank you, Rep. Tim Ryan, for supporting behavioral science research. I just saw your picture & a nice quote in this month's APS Observer.

Mindfulness Meditation somewhat helped me manage symptoms during my 3 yrs. of disability, but it did not heal me. Daily FasterEFT practice healed and released my symptoms by addressing the past traumas that caused the symptoms. Drugs & PT only treat symptoms and fail to address the cause of the stress which creates the illness. FasterEFT is highly effective and includes many of the alternative modalities, yet it's simple to learn & practice. Thanks for your efforts. Peace, Grace

As President of the International Hypnosis Federation I am privy to hundreds of studies showing that mindfulness, guided imagery, NLP, meditation and other such hypnosis techniques are easy to use and get profound resultswith no drugs. Even when used with drugs fewer are required. Bravo Congressman Ryan. YOU get it! Keep up the great work, Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas, PhD

I am the founder of the MTT Association - and there is so much that can be done to help our children and adults without pharmaceuticals. Of course, it is in balance with traditional medical treatment, but so much prevention and assistance can come with other methodologies working along side traditional medicine. And much of it IS free!

I am encouraged to hear someone in government speaking in this way. As someone who has practiced the Transcendental Meditation technique for many years (different from Mindfulness), I am hoping more government officials will look into it. There is a lot of positive research on the TM technique. Regular practice helps one think clearly, be healthy, and be more integrated in heart and mind.

I'm not sure Ms Sebelius gets it. I wonder if anything will come from this... make yourself well for free. The big drug companies won't get a dime out of it and could even take a loss.

I hope people do start meditating though; and I'm glad our brilliant Congressman Ryan is actively promoting this natural, effective solution to alleviate many different problems.
