I've been to many Milwaukee Irish fests over the years. The first time I went was in 2000. The teacher of one dance group announced to the audience after two dances that it is customary, when listening to Irish music, to clap hands, hoot, and cheer as much as possible. It makes for a more exciting experience throughout, for everyone including the dancers. The audeince was a little too quiet, in their estimation.

I agree, I would love to have heard the the acapella acapella. I know they mean well, but when you are a dancer watching this, you want to *hear* what they were doing. :-) Love this piece!

good job bridget you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your school was very good, it's too bad those kids were hooting and hollering thru the video. They had absolutely no respect for the dancers. When our school does anything arcapella, an announcement is made to be quiet so the dancers can hear the beats and keep the rythmns.

the cheering is something that our school lets the audience do, personally I love hearing my friends cheer for me. I normally dont smile but when I hear people cheering I always end up grinning. And you can still here the dancers reli well so personally I see no problem what so ever
