@gatheringleaves Sorry, I can't really say that because I haven't copyrighted anything yet. But what I will say is that the role I want Hoffman to play is a man who kills people from his past for revenge. Once I complete the script, I hope to be lucky enough to get it produced, let alone, sold. But I hope what I've said so far is intriguing.

What is the script about?

@ASHBOX86 Funny you should say that because I'm in a Screenwriting class (because I want to be a Screenwriter, as well as a filmmaker) and Hoffman's performance in this role and this movie tells me Hoffman should play the lead in my working screenplay. He's so perfect in what I'm writing, which is why I hope to get him for the part if I ever get lucky and get the script produced.

I love the soundtrack to this movie.

I never would have thought Sandler would outact PSH.
-
PSH's final uncontainable "FUCK!!" at 2:22 gets me every time.

I never really took Adam Sandler serious until I saw this movie. My good is he amazing. Now I'm a huge fan. Probably one of the best movies of all time!

@Npowell01 I love you

@Npowell01 I know you said this a year ago, but man, I honestly somehow never saw it from that perspective before and you've blown my mind. Thank you.
This movie is a masterpiece, such a shame it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Film schools should be studying this gem. PTA is a genius.

What's interesting about this scene is that Hoffman's character makes the perfect villain for this movie. He IS Sandler's character, sans delusions.
He's angry, has no self control, is easily-irritated, runs a poor business and thrives illegally by taking advantage of others' mistakes (like Sandler does on a more innocent-minded level with the pudding).
When they finally meet, they have little to say other than the fact that they don't like each other because they don't like themselves.
