Stargate (1981 arcade game) played on my replica console by me, and what an awful game it was. I still do not understand why the high school stoners were always able to break 1,000,000.
My brother made the replica console from lumber, paint, shellac, spare parts from an arcade supplier, and an X-Gaming 2-joystick unit. Looks exactly like the original cabinet layout. See stargateconsoles.com for details.
I wish someone ELSE would upload Stargate video, so I might be able to figure out how to better play the game!
The only reason you think it's awful is because you lacked patience to get a little better. It's a great game, and when you lost your quarter in 5 mins, it was time to learn WHY and just get better, never giving up. That said, I could often crack over a million and without being stoned as you said. It wasn't easy. It took weeks of practice. Quitters never win, and winners never quit! That said, you're actually a good player. You only need to lose ships a little slower to play it longer.

See that "stargate" box in the middle of the playing area? And all the other crap that isn't in the original Defender? Defender does not have warping, either. The official name of Stargate is "Defender: Stargate", tho, so you're maybe 17% correct.

This is "Defender" NOT Stargate.

It would have been nice to see your replica console controls... How did you make this game replica? I gotta real one for $330 ebay and I can custom set Invisio and Warp to levels. You play ok for a replica.
