he got locked up for cruelty to animals and pimpin ,then there was an explosion in which he escaped once he was out he started drinking and his life went down the drain making him crazy. he thought he was still been chased by people so he kept running for a very long time thats when he took the plunge to move out the country by hijacking a plane thinking it was a good idea but did not know that the gov was on him shooting missiles at his plane and bringing him to his death

I always thought it was a man running out of time. The man does all manners of crazy shit he wants to do because he realises he's out of time, he drinks all he can until it's gone and the pink elephant is his intoxication. but still can't escape because his time is up. Jim was a damn genius.

Do i need to explain how great of a piece of surrealism this is? Protagonist feels chained by the confines of time and breaks free running through the circus of life (shown with whimsical nonsense) Gains ability to fly and is shot down by those who cannot and in the end becomes time itself. Less thinking about the imagery than feeling how the metaphor relates, like interpreting a dream that's more "Real" to life than most "reality" television these days.
