God, hes terrible. Also, ur not supposed to flick ur wrist like that!

How fast r those being thrown at him? 20/25 mph? No wonder why he only misses like 2 or 3. In a game most good infielders throw about 40/55 mph. I'd like to see him get a scoop or a pick in a real game.

@karafinocchio yeah. what the first guy said. lol

good first base pick up drill

Great drill for soft hand... we do the same with the infield training glove ... keep up
the good work. One suggestion is have him do the drill with his body in a correct fielding position .. leg shoulder width left leg just a minute forward .. relax athletic position. otherwise the rest is great... Again one of our best college drill .. thank for sharing.

@joeyd430 it look like a 1st basemens glove to me

Nice job... Remember, on a real infield (dirt, sand or clay) the bounce will not be the same because of how soft it is.

you're glove is to big. get an infielders glove

This is a good drill however I would like him to incorporate lateral footwork or some type of foot movement instead of just moving the glove. Standing still during a drill can bring on bad habits.

i love when these type of groundballs get hit to me
Thanks for your comment. you are right, this is not how to field a ground ball, however that is not the purpose of this drill. If you read the description, this is a drill to work on building quickness and confidence in your glove hand. The purpose of the drill is to show how coming to get the ball is better than letting the ball play you. If you can get good at the pick drill, ground balls will seem much easier. Thanks for the comment!
