Extra material from the "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying" DVD Audio.

Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson and Chris Poland talk about early years of Megadeth, Gar Samuelson's playing style and death, studio recording process and the release of this 5.1 audio DVD.

This was recorded around 2003 I think.

  • i actually like peace sells...... better than rust in peace

because of the jazz-feeling...and gar was, in my opinion, just way better than menza

  • Gar Samulson was the Man, so many cool amazing things going in Megadeth music, with Peace Sells But Who's Buying & Rust In Peace every band member is in top form, of course except for the vocals lol!........ No but serious just amazing music period, Rock on Megadeth-:)

  • @Beholder505 The songs on peace were amazing though not just because of the solo's but the feel of the whole album. The subjects that were introduced in peace sells were just out of this world. Killing is my business was the same way, with it's erratic subjects around death and killing. RIP was great don't get me wrong but the jazzy/thrashy feel is what I prefer on those first two records and I'd listen to them beginning to end every day if I could.

  • @zzzhuh RIP is not overrated. It's earned every acclaim. The solos are only a part of the albums. What made RIP so great was Dave's writing was at it's peak. It's the songs not the solos that make a song great. You can have a shit song with a good solo, and it's still going to be a shit song. You can have an amazing song with a shit solo, and it will still be an amazing song. That said, Marty was great, but RIP was a punishing album. Start to finish. Peace sells was great, but RIP was stellar.

  • @zzzhuh on that poland-marty thing a kind of disagree...i think they´re both amazing...i think marty is as good as chris BUT i like chris playing style a little bit better...

  • peace sells is my favorite album but i dont hear any jazz element in it

  • @TheBusch96 I agree completely, R.I.P lineup is so over rated, i think Poland is a better guitarist than Marty as well.
