In one of her many fine moments, veteran White House reporter Helen Thomas squares off with Press Secretary Ari Fleischer at a White House Press Conference and is then backed up by Terry Moran, showing the influence she had on some of the younger correspondents.
This is February 4, still more than 6 weeks before the start of the Iraq War in March 2003. Helen Thomas just lays it out there to Press Secretary Ari Fleischer and a White House Press Conference:
"Since you speak for the President, we have no access to him."
"Is it about oil?" and then she continues.

Ari owned nutball Helen Thomas. He was probably the best press secretary in US history -- few could deal with the idiotic press so adeptly and thoroughly.
