Oh my actual God, I haven't seen this for 20 years and more. I'm another who wore out a VHS tape re-watching this. I wasn't particularly a fan of Big Country, just happened to tape this show and watch it back later - and see a band who are clearly enjoying themselves more than any other I've ever seen, I think. Blew me away, especially the wit and fun of this bit. I bought The Crossing the next day...

Even being middle-aged I still have to get out the fresh air guitar to this.

Saw the band in Sheffield same year. It was crazy the security guys spent more time on stage getting rid of ppl who kept jumping on and running up to Stuart.

@tilly15773 I don't remember it being incredibly cool, there were a few of us, some more than other, who thought it was though. People made two mistakes with Big Country, and probably still do today. The first one is not listening to it as loud as your equipment will allow. (esp Fields of Fire) The second was they don't listen, they hear. You really have to give this stuff your full attention. There is so much depth and texture that it's not a passive exercise.
just look at that crowd,yeeeaaaahhhhhh
