Flaming Lips - Fight Test - Electric Picnic 2009

Flaming Lips performing Fight Test @ Electric Picnic, Stradbally, Co Laois, Ireland. Sunday 6th September 2009. Poor call by the organisers meant that it was in the electric arena (a tent!) instead of having them headline the main stage. They were still great.

I think they were great in the tent. the people that wanted to see them bad enough got to the tent in time. I think most of the atmosphere would have been lost if they played the main stage. it felt really special in the electric arena.

Yeah, we got there an hour before they were due on because we were freakin that we wouldn't get in! Meant that had to miss most of Bell X1. Royscop & Basement Jaxx should have both been in the tent, same as the bellies and the lips should have been on the main stage

I was in the front row for this, just to the left of the stage! The gig was amazing! I agree that the tent was perfect for them! Much cosier! lol

I wouldn't have liked to see them on the main stage. The tent was very intimate I felt

The Flaming Lips specially requested a tent instead of the main stage... They prefer the atmosphere inside, and the lights and lasers look way better in there anyway!

Unreal show though, best possible end to the weekend!
