@Force283 Sometimes though you are deep for a reason. The 1989 team was deep team too and had a great addition og Woolridge that offer the team a chance to play smallball having him plus cooper and Worthy at 4 for more minutes and use him instead of the aging Kareem as the main post game force.

@greendynasty32 Magic was a true MVP and people just saw for the first time ALL that he could do on a basketball court. That team could win both the Chicago teams even with Air Mike scoring at 40s the 86 Celtics and the 2 great Champerlain teams of 72 and 67 that many have as favorite teams of all time.
Many say that those teams where better rebounding teams or defensive teams but Lakers where the best team in changing shapes size and speed and had the right combination at both ends. THE BEST

@etks1957 say it a 1000 times more because its true. People say that the 1985 squad was the deepest Lakers team and the 1984 was very good too. Also Kareem was at better shape. But this team had Kareem in very good shape too and what made them special was that all the other players of it was starting to have career years. Worthy AC Green Coop where GREAT and Kurt was his usual self. B.Thompson was a great player off the bench for that fast break and M.Thompson was the icing on the cake.

This was after another Boston Celtic Ass-Kicking! An "Ass-Kicking so bad that the Celtics had to wait 21 years before they ever return to the NBA Finals. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
