  • why dont you get a shrinker and stretcher! makes shit like that easier!! only need one piece then

  • @peterward85 Thanks for the advise peteward.. I know it would be easier, but the reason for most of my videos is that Im showing people that don't have these kind of tools how to do this kind of work, with just the minimum hand tools it would take. Pete

  • hi pete, what size cheat metal do u use on this car around the windows ?

  • I use 0.20 gauge cold roll steel, for a job like this. Thanks Pete

  • I'm very mechanically inclined, but have never done sheet metal before. Aside from taking my time, using common sense and making sure it's done right, what other advice do you have for me? Keep up the damn good work!

  • All i can say is take your time, don't get frustrated and just learn from your mistakes... Thats the best way to do things... If you fuck it up,, start over and do it again till its right.. Tackling a job like this is actually common sense and just having the right tools. Don't get discouraged and think you cant do it... Post some vids on it, let me know when you do, I would like to keep an eye on it once in awhile... take it easy >>>>>>PETE

  • wow i was waiting for this guy to say

i rekon i aint got no reasond to kill nobody MHHH

  • Thanks for the advice. I will definitely post videos from the experience. I got the car from my father in law about a year ago. He had it for 38 years and passed it on to me and my son, so he's going to be stoked to see progress too. The only thing that sucks is that it's completely drivable now, so I'm going to be bummed as shit to not be able to drive it for a while. Oh well, it'll be better than before when I'm done. Thanks and take care.

  • Pete, you do an excellent job of cutting through the "this is how you do it" script and actually DO what it is you're talking about. I've watched alot of your videos so far and I've learned a good deal just by watching. I have a 1963 Impala SS that I will be taking out of commission in a couple of months to start restoration, and I will be tackling the sheet metal repairs on my own.
