In India cows are as much respected as dogs are in the West, Americans call dogs "Man's Best Friends" and Indians even worship cows. Westerners enjoy eating beef, while Indians dignify cows. I'm not vegetarian and I don't think vegetarianism is entirely logical. Our sharp teeth and our appetite for meat demonstrate that we were all born as carnivores. There is a food chain and animals (including us) meant to be eaten by wiser and stronger species. It's been a basic rule in this planet since day one. Every nation has its own culture and eating habits and one can't call this cruelty. What happens to these innocent dogs is nothing different from what happens to thousands of pigs, sheep, cows, chickens, etc. every day.
