No, we did not have enough money nor gold, but we did have more than enough resources. It was the available resources that enabled the US to achieve the high production and efficiency required to win the war. Unfortunately this is only considered in times of war.

At the beginning of World War II the US had a mere 600 or so first-class fighting aircraft. We rapidly overcame this short supply by turning out more than 90,000 planes a year. The question at the start of World War II was: Do we have enough funds to produce the required implements of war?

Please, just think about what you said. How close-minded, bias, and just ignorant. It's time for you to stop looking at this country and its history altruistically, as if we are always in the right. That's ridiculous, with any nation of people - or selected people - especially with the United States. Think, educate yourself, and stop reading your bias American history text books and stop watching so much corporate news.

If this country is so out of this world to you and it has done nothing to help you or benefit you, perhaps another country may do you much better, we will not regret you leaving, we will probably not even notice your gone, such strong words that you use, invading and the such, it is obvious that your emotion gets in the way of your logic & intelligence that's a shame.
