Henry Lawson is one of Australia's most famous sons, , a great talent who had a sad end. He and Banjo Patterson are undoubtedly Australia's most famous bards. And a famous Australian veteran actor, Jack Thompson, last year released a CD of Patterson's works. Now he's turned his attention to Lawson.

It's called Campfire Yarns of Henry Lawson, including 'The Drover's Wif'e, 'Settling on the Land', 'The Mystery of Dave Regan', and a great favourite across the generations, 'The Loaded Dog'.

@naganokumas Jack Thompson is an Aussie treasure. He made his name in acting. Henry Lawson and Banjo Patterson are early Australian writers and poets. From memory I think Patterson was a war correspondent during WW1. Google them if you're interested.

Who was Henry Lawson, and 'Banjo' Patterson, about which he speaks?

To help bridge things, Jack Thompson played Darth Vader's stepfather's father, or whatever, in the Star Wars films. (I'll have to watch them again to get it right.)

Jack was also a centrefold for Australian Penthouse, and also responsible for the worst 3 cheers effort, done in Perth after the America's Cup victory.
