I think the producers might have dubbed over the live recording. Billy wouldn't have signed off on lipsync.

It's ridiculous that they made him lip sync... watch him sing live, and you can instantly tell the difference. He tends to scrunch his nose up when he's not singing a slower song. Plus, you can't be that far from a mic (referring to the opening of the first part).

yeah he isn't a cheap musician and he is making fun of them. He doesn't need to lip sync and he knows it
