  • under the water inspiration

  • @Sandcross Me either, I don't mind the english dubbing. The only thing I don't like is that they cut some scenes and slightly altered what they said in the movie.

  • AND SINCE WHEN DO BRAINS HAVE FORESKINS??? This is so spiritworld/nature/fertility... Even the design on the dude's crotch looks like an erect cock and the woman's crotch design is a triangular bush shape. Druids made this film I think...

  • @Sandcross People see a few bad English dubs (not difficult) and develop a habit of hating English dubs without much subjectivity. I like the dubbing in this. The voice artists might not convey the exact subtleties of the original voice work, but so what? Who's to say the original voice work perfectly conveyed the nuances that the writer intended them to? It's pretty unlikely that they did. It's all a team effort, not one single vision. There are plenty bad dubs out there but this isn't one

  • I think Gandahar IS nature, and this is all set in the spirit world where systems are softer and establish themselves a little differently. Soulless and pragmatic machinism is the enemy of purpose and meaning, but machinism is part of purpose and therefore inevitable, and purpose is just abstract opinion subject to environmental necessity, and I think that's the conflict illustrated in this grotesque work of genius..

    Dunno tho. Not finished watching.

  • I'm on the side of the metal men. the organic vibe of gandahar is vile... cant they just invent cars and napalm and stop being so disgusting

  • Do you think that the final thoughts of one of the M.o.M. @ :23 was

"Gee, you know what. Life is good.

The world economy may be collapsing. My job requires me to be a lemming for a giant pink brain. But at least I am not getting devoured by a giant penis with teeth."

  • yellow submarine meets battlestar galactica

  • Hmm. in part 3 there was that giant lizard monster that crushed the metal men. Why didnt they just get some of those to use?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Oh, certainly. There's no denying that. You can see a lot of themes and imagery from other movies that started here. Maybe my past comment didn't make my view clear: I really didn't like "Avatar", and I wish people would quit talking about it, especially when there's a much better movie like this on.
