@redtortoise76 it works exactly the same against jabs and crosses. the only thing that's different is hooks, which any decent teacher will still teach you to defend against. Jin Young (you can check him out at his channel: chinaboxer) actually explains how wing chun/chi sao is applied against boxers and grapplers, and tells his students not to pose after a punch even during drills and demonstrations because it's unrealistic.

In training they always do Wing Chun vs Wing Chun, how to defend from someone coming at you with Wing Chun punches.
This is a huge weakness in the WC system, they should be training responses against your typical street attacks like boxing punches etc
That is my first thought when looking at this video.
Of course Sifu's skills are superb.
