@82ndarmy And hypothesize all you want on numbers, but it is impossible to accurately calculate how many Allies would have been lost had we not dropped a bomb. Saving the lives of soldiers by murdering/maiming civilians is terrorism at its best.

@82ndarmy @82ndarmy And what then, in your mind, are 'political terms'? Your statement is entirely too broad and ignores the fact that Japan and America had political discussions at Potsdam (to name only one). It was after Japanese leaders refused the Declaration there that the bomb was dropped.

@AmericanCommunistUSA no political terms were used before we ever dropped the bomb. less people died from that bomb then if an invasion was done. america never wanted to drop it, but in the end it saved thousands more lives then if we would have went on the ground.
