It's wonderful the way she just ignored the dogs and kept calmly going along for her rider, especially given how early in training you mentioned she is!

If you have all the answers why the video? how much of a ride do you expect ?
everyone has a different way of doing things, but a horse with 30 days of training hasn't had much time to condition, definetly hasn't had much time to learn to balance the rider's weight and her own to help promote her gait. Termino is an undesirable trait that if excessive will cause tendon damage. The extra weight of the shoes on a young horse with termino puts extra strain on young growing tendons

Are you joking? Who said anything about fino champ, other than her breed is paso "fino" She is actually out of largo lines, if you read the info section of this video you'd know that. Here she has about 30 days total training so she is still very green especially with her gait. Please do not leave ignorant comments. Go out search the internet, read a book, learn a little bit about what you're talking about and then you're welcome to comment.
PS no i'm not joking!!!!
Thanks

she has a lot of termino, might be the shoes,
why did you shoe a horse that only has 30 days of training?

Why not? We were taking her for a ride on the mountain and didn't want sore feet. They are just a flat keg. Thanks

I like her gait. I'll take a calm, largo bred paso any day to a "Fino " horse. The hot bred, fino trained horses are what is causing the registrations for PFHA to be down. Breed some fun , smart, calm largo horses, real largo, not show ring largo, they are a joke. Who wants a fino horse that can't travel a descent speed if ask to.

Thank you singlefoot87059,that is exactly what we are shooting for. We are not into the show type fino horses. We want the real working paso, one that can travel. In fact we are not even particular to a certain breed, we have naturally singlefooting Saddlebreds,Peruvian Pasos,Racking, TWH, Rocky mountain horses and Paso Fino's. we've tried them all and love each for the characteristics that they bring, a smooth ground covering gait (some better that others obviously)
