Well, technically the mountain dulcimer was made in america but it came from the schietholt and Psalmodicon family (Germany and Iceland instruments.) Awesome playing!

dulcimer is an awesome instrument.
sorry to burst your bubble but dulcimer's origin tho' is icelandic/norwegian. but, it only really survived to this day in america, where it came unto it's own.. three cheers!! check out the(langspil/langeliek/hummle/
