Noise Reduction. The noise of the images is the presence of extraneous pixels in the canvas. The noise may be caused by photography with a high ISO value set on the camera, taking pictures without the right lightness or in very dark areas with very slow shutter. Usually low quality machines show more noise than the high-end cameras and so it's necessary operate a Noise Reduction. You can reproduce noise also in scanned images caused by sensor noise of the scanner. The noise of an image appears in two ways: luminance noise and then the grain is manifested by visible grayscale blocks; disorder visible with color artifacts in the image. Luminance is usually more pronounced in the blue component of the image. It's possible to correct each channel in the advanced mode of the Noise reduction plugin. Before opening the filter, examine your image separately to see if the problem is prevalent in a single channel. It's possible to preserve more detail in an image if it acts on a single channel, rather than operate on the entire chromatic scale.
