@lanceoa DONT SHOOT CAST BULLETS IN A GLOCK BARREL. It specifically says so in the instruction manual. Use a aftermarket barrel like the kind Lone wolf distributors sells.

@AlabamaGunHands by the way, I have loaded 10's of thousands of handgun rounds on these presses and they have been near flawless. One of the simplest and least expensive progressive loaders on the market.

@AlabamaGunHands I would be very interested in the process of .223 loading on this press. I currently own 2 pro 1000's, one set up for large primer for .45acp and 10mm and one set up with the small primer for .380, 9mm and .40S&W.
I have all the components to start loading .223, I just haven't seen it in action yet. I know it is a multi-stage process rather than progressive, but that's all I know so far. I'm subscribing to you in hope you will do a video of .223 on the pro 1000.

Thanks for taking the time! Great info!

thanks for the video it was great! I am new to reloading and have a single stage press. and when I use the die to resize and punch the old primer, I also clean the primer pocket. They always seem to be dirty. Everyone I see on here using a progressive press seems to be resizing and punching the old primer and pressing in a new one on one stroke. W/O cleaning the pocket. Have you ever run into a problem with the primer not seating right becasue the pocket was not clean?
Can you explain more why the lee1000 isnt ideal for .223? That was the caliber I intend to load on it. Thanks in advance.

what's the difference between a plated bullet and casting a lead round? thanks.. I want to start reloading for a glock 23

@lanceoa The plated bullets are copper plated and cast lead bullets are just lead. Neither are as good as actual jacketed bullets but the plated shoot less dirty than the lead and don't smoke as much.

Nice video. I just bought one of these for 45 colt. Its still in the mail. When you first got yours did you clean the primer slide at all to make sure no factory oil or dirt was in it?Also, did you have to adjust the shell plate index with the zero screw?Where the dies already setup to go? Srry for so many questions , I just want to know what to expect when I receive it. Thanks.

@chios1958 Did not clean the primer trough, you will have to calibrate the indexing of the shell plate, and I do not remember about the dies.
