http://www.catalinbread.com Howard is demonstrating the Catalinbread SFT '70s Stones tones into a clean Fender Deluxe Reverb.
The 70s Stones tone sounds rudimentary, but they are deceptive in terms of feel and voicing. However it is quite an allusive sound that too many folks have confused with fuzz or OD for nearly 40 years. You can hear the P90 midrange bark push through the SFT on this clip. It's all about feeling connected to the power amp section, big solid lowend, crisp attack treble, and AMAZING cleanup qualities.
Howard did the take in one shot. In that spirit we approached the A/V production.
