@thxdts When I was taping the Lansing Civic Center demolition, I saw where they were about to destroy a section with letters reading CIVIC CENTEROFFICE BUILDING. I asked the wrecking machine guy if he'd demo that for my camera, he said no. I drained my battery taping non spectacular footage. With a dead battery, I ate lunch. The c worker waved at me, got in his machine, scraped the letters off and waved at me (he thought I was filming). Unknown to me they demolished at night. Taped what I could.

I bet they could have found a new use for it instead of destroying it. congrats on a nice tribute to the NORTHWOOD. I managed to tape the demo of my Junior High you can see at: demolition of pattengill. I know from experience getting cool footage like you present here can be difficult. Did you have to wait long? You were definately there at the right time. Very historical shots of the Northwood, congratulatioins!

@RQVOutdoorMoovies Thanks for the very nice comments! I got there at 7am and spent most of the day there. The day before, I was taking still pictures and saw someone shooting video. That evening I went out and bought a hi-def camcorder. I have more video of Northwood I will edit and post in the future. I also got some demo video of the old Cass Tech school and Ford auditorium. I will post those soon.
