For what it's worth I'm aware that Soriano isn't that terrible of a player, but I wanted to point out that Burrell is actually a very good player as well. I also wanted to show that both players have their faults, but Burrell's are brought up a lot more often. The only legit criticisms of Burrell I think are his speed and certainly his defense. RISP are a very random sampling, and tend to vary from year to year. (For what it's worth Burrell still had very good OBP with RISP last year, .376, and RISP & 2 outs .363)
For those who think that our 5 hole hitter shouldnt walk so much, maybe they should switch him and Utley then. Then Burrell gets his walks, and Howard can hit lots of two run homers.
