You are absolutely correct, nostalgic Radio Ceylon days. This recitation of Dhammapada was played both in the morning and at night when transmission comes to an end.

Thanks for your comment. As of 'Devo wassathu kalena...' the morning 'pirith sajjayanaya by the radio Ceylon recites the summoning of the blessings especially subsequent to 'thun sutra' deshanawa.

The global warming is giving hard times and countries like Sri Lanka gets affected badly, unless the politicians take steps to proper water draining systems the problem will never be solved. I remember everytime there is a flood Colombo gets flooded.
