16/11/72 BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, EDWARD HEATH VISITS BELFAST Thursday, November 16, 1972 British Prime Minister, Edward greeted by Willie Whitelaw, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and GOC, Sir Harry Tuzo
Heath had an excellent way of speaking English, in essence the 'proper way' as he would put it. He came from humble background and became an unexpected leader and Prime Minister. However when he was expected to win (1974 elections and 1975 leadership contest), he failed. He was a 'good underdog', I suppose.

Didn't Heath have a pie thrown at him and it was captured on film?
