Notice how both of these clips are on the news?
News corporations only put on the news that which sells, which is not a bad thing, it's just business.
What sells is anything interesting.
What interests people is anything that is new, different, and uncommon.
The more something appears on the news, the less common it is.
Therefore, these are only on the news because they were uncommon occurences.
Humans helping one another and other animals being uncaring isn't news because that IS common.
