After I adjusted the valves, the loud noise is gone. Previous owner must have forgotten to adjust the valves. The intake valves were loose. Anyways, I was reluctant to do the job, but looking back, it wasn't bad at all. I am confident I can do it again in an hour.

  • dude, it sounds like what i need to do to my c50. previous guy stuck cobras on there, but he didn't adjust for the pipes. my bike is burning too much gas and oil. it's sounding like yours from the previous vid.

  • Get the C90! Hydraulic valve lifters. No adjustments. The previous owner probably just neglected the valve adjustment step. If you have no mechanical expertise, a valve adjustment can be very intimidating.

  • i have the same bike, what do the valves set at?

  • i have this same bike.

  • Nice bike!

  • YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks! a ton! I'll check the valves and make the adjustment! I'll let you know how it works out. Enjoy the ridin' weather!

  • Thanks for this video, my 06 M50 is doing the same thing as the previous video. I'm gonna take it by the shop today. It's been getting slowly louder for the past thousand miles or so.
