The Doctor is always having to say goodbye to the people he cares about. He's scared to let Donna close to him because he's afraid of being hurt again... and afraid of hurting her.
A lot of attention in the video is given to those companions the Doctor feels he's let down: Rose, Martha and Adric.

@TheChatterrBoxAiMeE He was a companion to the Fifth Doctor, played by Peter Davison. He was the only companion of the Doctor to actually get killed.

Er... maybe I should do my research. I am completely sorry, you have every reason to thumbs down me because that previous comment is complete crap. I need to start watching the classic series.

I take it you wrote that comment after reading the info but before watching the video. You should watch the classic series. Some of the Tom Baker episodes were wonderfully funny, but I loved the Peter Davison episodes because of the dynamic with his companions. You have Adric, the only companion ever to really die, and Turlough, who was hired to sabotage the TARDIS and kill the Doctor.
