This is a very basic answer to lj's question on how an engine works. There is sooo much more detail I could go into but that would take time. This answers the question and provides enough information (I think) to have a better understanding in under 7 minutes. Hope this answers your question LJ and if you want me to elaborate any more on any particular part let me know. I wouldn't mind doing a better longer video but that would have to wait till summer.

  • wow you are smart one :) didn;t expect that from you :)

  • lol I guess I'm full of surprises!

  • Very good video! Thank you so much for the explanation. An expanded series would be fantastic, but I can wait for next summer.

Where did you learn all this?

PS- Geos are AWESOME. Seriously. If I had a car, that's what I would want.

  • lol I love em'! They almost match the 250 in mileage but they also have 4 seats! And yes an expanded series is probably due this summer.

And I mostly learn from experience. I rebuilt a few motors in my past and work on them all the time.

  • whats up with the geos.......

  • I love geos! 50mpg (for real) hwy and 40city! And thats honest! Not like the overly expensive Prius that claims without results. But thats another rant.

  • i hate prius's anywho.... lol i just dont like three bangers.... lol

  • You forgot about the squirrels! ;-)

On my Geo Metro, I was getting about 41 MPG per tank. I have a bit of a lead foot though. My Subaru is only giving me about 25 MPG. My 599 is giving me around 45 MPG.

  • Go for it! And thanks!

  • That's a great explanation! You're a wealth of knowledge. I'm going to start a list of questions to ask you now!
