MYSORE : August 13, 2010. Continuing the country-wide state wise drive to strengthen the party's student wing -- National Students Union of India (NSUI), Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi arrived in Mysore on Friday on the first day of his two-day visit to Karnataka, to interact with the local youth here...


While interacting with students of St Philomena's College in Mysore on Friday, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said, "Youth are the future of the nation and their contribution in development of the country was much needed."

Urging the youth gathered on the occasion to enter politics, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said everyone should join together to bring value-based changes in the society for a better and developed nation.

After the interaction, a girl student of St Philomena's College opined that Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi was keen on understanding the mindset of the youth of this country. Another fellow student said that he was trying hard for taking the youth to higher levels for meaningful and constructive roles in building the nation for overall development.

During the interactive session, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi answered a number of questions put forward to him by the students. The queries revolved around meaning of freedom, youth and politics and many other contemporary issues.
