The first of three video's from my trip to Glastonbury in October 2008.

I had spent years reading about the Tor and the healing waters of the Chalice well, and the popular belief that from the top of the Tor Hill is where Avalon was. I had even read the scientific theories that Avalon could well have existed here, as much of the land seen from the top of the Tor Hill was once underwater, making the higher ground Islands.

Having already been all the way to Cornwall to see if I felt that Tintagel Castle was Camelot, this was high on my "to do next" list.

So for my 40th Birthday my Mums gift to me was to look after my Son and my dog and send me off to Glastonbury on my own pilgrimage. Once I mentioned on my online group that I was going, some of the people I have known online for years but never met wanted to go to. So we all planned to meet there, most of us staying in the same hotel.

It was a really magical trip! Not only seeing the things I saw, but meeting the people behind the computer monitors in the flesh!

We visited the Tor itself, the Chalice Gardens, and spent time looking round the fantastic shops there, and myself and my friend Kathy who I went with went into the Abbey.

It was a long drive for me and Kathy, thank goodness for Sat Nav thats all I can say.

The Tor itself is a bit of a climb as you can see from the video, and none of us that went will ever see 30 again, but we made it. I just want to post a personal apology to anyone else who was there in October 2008 if you happened to hear a bunch of Witches singing "she'll be coming round the mountain when she comes" on the way up the Tor! Also to anyone who was in the Chalice gardens anywhere near the healing water pool, and saw a group of mad women splashing around yelling "I am healed"! We hope we didn't ruin your queit reflections too much.

The whole trip was topped off with my friends throwing me a surprise 40th Birthday party on the balcony of the hotel, with cake and a magnum of Moet, and it was a full moon.... it doesn't get more perfect than that does it? We all plan to meet up again, but so far it hasn't happened, but it will.... so watch out for us!

Hope you enjoy the video, it was the beginning of Winter so pretty bad lighting, not alot of Sunshine.

  • @lor682009 Thank you so much for watching xx

  • @WitchesSky Thanks to you, for inserting your fine video into youtube!!...Naturally this magical place will be preserved forever, cause Glaston Bury is an important "Celtic Heritage", from King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, to the last presence of the Templars in an important place (perhaps their Treasure could be hidden and buried under Glastonbury!!)

  • @lor682009 Thank you x its a really magical place.... so far its not been made too touristy, I hope they always keep it that way x thanks for watching x
