and listening to the radio cranked up in 1.5 tons of glass and metal doing 60 mph is okay????
I've been riding my bike with an ipod for years and it's perfectly safe as long as you're not stupid, my biggest fear is automobile drivers texting and talking on cell phones. Fortunately the police are now giving citations/tickets for the drivers pulling that one.. :)

Hmm, yeah... listening to music while riding a bike doesn't sound like a very good idea. Don't know if you live in the states... but most everywhere will result in you getting a citation/ticket for pulling that one.
