Watch carefully and learn as actor/Martial Arts Expert Michael Jai White proves to Kimbo why traditional boxing punching is flawed. White presented a compelling demonstrating of NON-TELEGRAPHIC MOVEMENT as it relates to punching. This is a core principle of Wing Chun and highlighted by the legendary Bruce Lee as key fighting principle in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do.

  • Its a real common technique among martial artists. A very good one in fact. If Kimbo would have learned this stuff 15 years earlier I swear he would of been a even more nearly unstoppable beast.

  • @1Laughingman --- very true and well stated. What this video does is prove and reinforce what martial artists already know. Proper technique is everything. Bruce Lee proved in when explaining the one-inch-punch. Royce Grace proved the importance of technique in the early Octagon days when he quickly disposed of fighters who out-weighted by 50 pounds or more.

  • I see what Michael Jai White is saying, I've been to one or two Wing Chun lessons and I'm going to start going regularly soon and the first thing they taught me was not to make it obvious I'm going to go for a punch.

  • I'm not a fighter, but anyone could remember this with a little mirror practice.

  • @DeStRoTM If you practice your technique, it can be just as strong but exponentially more accurate. It still involves your body, footwork and hips. Difference is your hand starts moving rather than your shoulder, and you body doesn't move up or down, remaining the same height masks movement.

  • Isn't traditional boxing punches stronger?

  • Telegraphing! Nice~!

  • NICE!

  • some sound theory, war is deception after all.

  • @irondragonjkd Royce proved Judo's ground game works and need more attention.
