@unclebobunclebob. Nate liked going up&down and in the half-court, he didn't have Rick Barry to run pick& rolls. Sort of like Karl Malone with the Lakers.

Wilt Chamberlain played very well this game: 14 points, making 6 shots in only 7 attempts, 4 assists, and 22 rebounds. Thurmond did often frustrate Chamberlain, but in this game Thurmond scored 16, shooting 7of 16 from the field, grabbed 18 rebounds, but had no assists.

@ddenuci Yea,Only he(Auerbach) would play this game for blood. I didn't think much of him as a person.

@unclebobunclebob He wasn't exactly a kid anymore. I wouldn't say he sucked. Nate always played hard. Use to give Wilt fits. Only Ctr who ever played him staright up in his (Wilt's) younger days. Russell always needed & had help to guard Wilt.
