A wonderfully crooked clawhammer tune from Dwight Diller, played in the order of ABABCDB (repeat until madness ensues.)
My friend and bandmate Chad Ashworth taught me this. He's a wonderful picker: http://www.myspace.com/flophousesb

  • @suimeikai true dat, its all a matter of personal comfort and preference. i say play the banjo however the hell you feel is right. when people start picking apart proper hand technique, i start yawning. ive had guitar "teachers" tell me that it is "wrong" to ever wrap my thumb around the neck. its all a matter of opinion, and every player or pretend player will give you a slightly different one. love the playing keep it up =)

  • Nice.

  • go for it and play it as you want, if this was Mozarts 5th then you gotta play it as writ...but.....hell, my granny used play this different evry time she played it :o)

  • sexy play!

  • I think what snooty was tryin to say was your banjo pickin is almost as purty as you. He just got a little carried away, bless his heart.

  • There's something about a woman playing the banjo that I find very erotic.

    Anywho, great playing.

  • What key are you in?

  • thanks for sharing, Amanda.

currently learning this tune by watching your video again and again...

still need some practice to get a clean sound anyway ;)

    very nice playing!
