"If you like Scriabin and you like mixed martial arts, here is the composer for you!"

Thanks for sharing.
Mosolov and Roslavets are very interesting composers indeed. I've been a fan of Lourié's music ever since I heard his Concerto da Camera more than ten years ago.
Perhaps you heard that the German musicologist Detlef Gojowy died recently. He wrote a book about Lourié and his music.
I hope that Lourié's music will reach a wider audience in the future.

ein unglaublicher Komponist! Nur wenige sind in der Lage, diesen Zustand der Zeitenthobenheit in mir auszulösen

I also like mosolov, recently "found him"..
Was wondering.., why is steffen better on the nocturne than henck?
I think that steffen "get" the sound, speed better than henck.. but im still wondering why you think steffen is better for the nocturnes.
Thanks for posting this sweet shit, bro. This is one of the greatest compositions ever made, as far as I'm concerned. And Yuri Lisichenko's performance is a fully violent and disturbing rendition of Mosolov's great music. Did Yuri record any other Mosolov? I haven't heard of him before hearing this fantastic recording.

Just this one disc. It includes the Sonata No. 5 and some smaller works.

Thanks for uploading this. Mosolov is indeed one of the finest Russian avant-gardists; I'm working on a college senior paper on him, Roslavets, and Lourie. But Mosolov wrote piano music with an intensity and darkness quite unlike anything else.
For those interested in exploring his music, I recommend checking out Daniele Lombardi's renditions on the Arte Nova label as well as Herbert Henck's recording of the 2nd/5th sonatas. For Mosolov's nocturnes, one must hear Steffen Schleiermacher.

Well what do you think of Lisichenko's 2nd/5th sonatas?
