In events around the state union members are countering misinformation about the Employee Free Choice Act distributed by a business lobbying group.
The National Federation of Independent Business is visiting several cities in Minnesota to drum up support for its efforts to block the Employee Free Choice Act, which comes up for a vote soon in the U.S. Senate. Senator Norm Coleman may have a key vote in deciding the bill.

Actually communist countries repress unions (ironic but true). In Poland it was a Lech Welesea's (spelling?) union that helped topple the Iron Curtain, because unions are representative and democratic to thier core. You went for the easy, but inaccurate hot shot, breaking out the "red scare" language even thought it doesn't logically apply.

It's good to see that the country club assholes have a loyal idiot on their side. The very rich love you, even if they offer you nothing for you loyalty.

Dont come back with any of your scare tactics, the current economic model is to maximize profits and keep the wealth pooled at the top and that inturn keeps the country and the middle class in debt. Then they have their soldiers hammer down wages, divide the work force and make people think its for their own good.

I know that an organized work force scars the hell out of you 3% guys or you $250k and up guys. Companies that move overseas should be taxed to hell and companies that stay in the US should have vary low taxes. If companies move overseas for the cheep labor the items that they send back to the states should be taxed to hell.

The bottom line is the majority of the people are sick of the top 3% controlling the economic and political landscape for personal gain. The middle class majority will keep organizing and we will keep targeting the senators and congress men that do not conform to the will of the majority.

What intimidation is the union going to use? "Hey buddy! You better sign this card or you'll never get your health care paid for". Ouch! Nasty threat indeed. If an employer opposes a piece of worker legislation it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand it's because it benefits the worker and their family. Workers need to support this and other legislation that makes it easier, not harder, to have their interests represented. Employers have the government hacks, we have unions.

Current law the union needs 50%+one of employees to sign a "Check Card" Then there is a secret ballot of the employees of a buisness to decide wheather or not they want a Union. Seems fair. under EFCA the union need only get the cards signed. 50%+1 and the Union is certified, No secret ballot. This opens the door to undue pressure and intimidation of employees from both the union and the employee. Not fair.
