Thsi is a video of me doing a speed with my Hpi Trophy Buggy 3.5 using 16% nitro hpi fuel. I also used a Bushell Speedster Radar Gun. The first few runs were a bit slow because the car was just getting warmed up as it has not been run for about 6 months

  • What's 56kph in mph plz

  • @TheTRAILbuilders1 Its 35 mph. I still can get a little more from it by tune the engine fully.

  • is it possible to put a bigger engine block in ? i have a trophy 3.5 like this and would like to update it..

  • @lukellu1 Yes you can put a bigger engine in it. But some of the stock may need to be changed as a more powerful engine could break the gears are other parts. Just checks before you do this.

  • I manage to reach 62 kmh with my trophy 3.5 and now i am planing to upgrade spur gear and clutch bell 14/44 14 teeths Clutch bell and 44 teeths spur gear. will let you know

  • @spookyrist cool. Thats about its limit with modifing the truck. I am hoping to get about the same when I tune mine and put 25% nitro fuel in it.

  • i thought this car goes a little faster than 56 kphh but i was wrong..

  • @spookyrist hey can you tell me the clutch bell teeths correct me if i am wrong if there is teeth on a clutch bell, opinion gear teeth and spur gear your running on, for the highest speed your doing ?

  • @lukellu1 hey there yes it is possible toput a bigger engine and upgrades to this buggy. if your gonna put a engine 4.6 (personal opinion)

  • @rb26capri why .. does it go faster ??

  • @b1gr1211 yes... at that price. mind you the car it self brand new is 250 pounds and the front fork dosent cost that much but if i was you i would buy it (personal opinion)

  • @psjdstu If top speed is what you want you should switch on over to brushless :) i got an rc18r that ran 38.6 with bald tires, broken front wheel drive and cheap plastic connectors.

  • Urmm no mate because number one you will have to buy a front fork and you won't be able to enter races if the engine Is any bigger the stock one is biggest engine you can race with and if you buy one new there only 250-300 pounds I've got one I got it from northampton it's brill

  • hello my friend...i am wondering if i could ask u a question?

i have been offered one of these with a bigger motor in it (the original is with the buggy as wel)

anyway the front fork is slightly bent and they want 200 for it?..is it worth it!!!!!!! please reply!

    ash

  • i use 20% nitro fuel with med or hot plug and 30% nitro fuel with cold plug in my 3.5 thunderquake and i clocked it at 55mph -63mph depending on fuel used.. try running higher nitro but be sure to change plug to adequate fuel used..

  • use the correct fuel, 16% in a 3.5cc is stupid, use 25% and it will go much faster.
