When i say "left" I am using the word as short hand for those who a more critically inclined approach to politics, with a more progressive approach. when I say "right" I mean those with more conservative, individualist political views.
In language we use labels to shorten descriptions.

Communism as an ideology has been used by power hungry governments to maintain their positions, just like any attractive ideology is abused. Adam Smith didnt have a government controlled by big business in mind when theorised about free trade, the corporate US government still use his theories in order to justify their practice but they are not true to free trade as a concept at all. but that doesnt mean free trade doesnt have any validity at all.
