  • Did this guy make a single sustained point? Its just a hog pog of word soap.

  • F-104 wasn't as much difficult to fly as it was unforgiving. High wing loading meant it needed to go fast, and indeed, landing would seem like a spot for adrenaline high; but it also meant the plane was very stable and resistant to turbulence. Only at high alpha there was problems, when wing blocked the T-tail. The engineers had studied into the problems of the X-3 Stiletto, the case of a genuinely harrowing plane to fly, thanks to it's significant inertial coupling.

  • Widowmaker, Lawndart..

  • As much as I like the plane its sad that we never replaced it sooner. I mean Sweden built thier own fighter why not Us. This plane has just enough wing to get airborne imagine how scary it was to fly :0

  • in italia l'f104 è ancora sulla memoria di tutti!!!che sound!!!!

  • germany lost many jets (and pilots!!) too.

  • Canada lost over 50% of its CF-104s. Incredible!
