It took me a while to get these videos up but they are finally here. Get the tabs online at acousticpower.com or ultimate-guitar.com. Do not ask me for them because I do not have them. If you have a question on a specific part you can leave a comment.

  • Hey Scott, awesome videos, just had a question.

The chord in the chorus (looks like a double bar over the 2nd and 4th frets, with the pinkie out on the 5th fret of the high E, and the hammer on the 3rd fret of the B string) is really tricky for me to catch. I can handle the fingering of it, but how exactly do you play it / which notes do you hit?

  • @LoveandGrace77 i play the g and high e string. i play the g with my pick and the high e with my middle finger. thanks for watching! im glad you like it

  • Thanks for the lessons. Theres no way I could have picked up the little nuances that make this so cool same on your over the rainbow. Really grateful. You are an awesome guitarist and even better teacher thanks for your gift. I saw Tommy 3/26 in Evansville, In and he was incredible. Thanks for Payin it forward bro

  • thanks a lot. im glad you like the videos! and yea you 'get' it. these videos arent really for people who are learning from scratch. they're more for people who just need to smooth it out

  • thanks! you are very kind to give the lesson rather just showing that you can play this song very well. I wish you good things and success !

  • went to see him last year and he's amazing. i love your version :)

  • @MartijnGuitar I'm pretty sure the hybrid method does exactly that - pick and finger at the same time.

  • Nice playing dude! I saw you played together with the master, nice! A little question, can you explain how to pick that way? I don't understand when to use your pick or fingers. Because I see you pick some high notes with only your finger, and my thought was to use for single notes and strumming only your pick and when it comes to 2 or more notes you combine your pick and fingers... Or is that not efficient/easy?

  • this has given me the nuances to finish off some of my Tommy skills....i saw him in Charlotte at the neighborhood theatre this week..best show of my life. only wish he would have played this one...but i think "Initiation" made up for it :) thank you so much Scott...don't ever lose your gift from God, i'm positive Tommy has seen your videos and he is proud. great job...

  • great lesson man. i think this is the first tommy song i've been able to learn in just a few hours. how did you get to play with him? talk about a dream come true!

  • yea if you have a nylon classical the neck front to back can be almost twice as wide as a steel string acoustic. i have one classical like this and one more like a steel string acoustic.

  • And I just answered my own question - I see you have a Taylor 414ce on your profile. Sounds great.
