nice! we breed welsh cobs!:) perhaps if you drove him on a bit more in trot you would get much more energy and a much more extension of the leg!! rise high and slow to get the extnsion and energy! disunited in canter to start of with but he holds himself much better in canter! and see? the trot you came down to after canter was much better than what you started off with:):)he'd be a good cob under saddle

Thanks for the advise Helen. He's not very fit & we hacked an hour to the school - so he was a bit tired! He does have a super canter & will improve with fitness. He's so nice to ride & I'm sure he's got a bright future ahead of him. Thanks again, GE.
