Footage of an abandoned midwestern drive-in theater, shot in the early 1980s. Watch for the figure in the window, not part of the crew. Lots of decaying pop culture, including popcorn cups and zombie movie posters on the wall. Courtesy of Afterdays Media.

  • I recognize the wrappers for the God awful dill pickles the snack bars used to sell.

  • Awsome clip! I so enjoy exploring abandoned snack bars here on the tube....by the way, another cool clip is called: snack bar graffiti at the plainfield drive in

  • Any chance of getting a name? Did you find a good home for the DAWN OF THE DEAD poster? I would have! Seldom is there such posters like this left around, you'd think the employees would have snagged it. Perhaps this is one of 'em where they thought they'd reopen. So, how about a name & location? Thanx for posting!

  • Good archive - Had it just closed in 1983 when you shot this or had it been closed for a while?

  • sum of those stuff worth money

  • dawn of the dead poster! cooool!
