  • @genxvoice24 (Part 2) any "magic" ever concieved.

  • @genxvoice24 Haha. I think you should take a look into Human psychology, my friend. Not only is there a plethora of possibilities that can explain such events, but the few instances in which there do seem (key word) to be telepathic communication are generally very vague and again, can be explained scientifically.

For instance, a "mentalist" can seemingly control a person's mind or read their thoughts by using incredibly subtle subliminal techniques.

    It's actually more fascinating than

  • @SeedsOfHatred I agree that most of our weird experiences are just occurrences within the brain but even cutting edge studies in human neurology can't explain some of the communication between human beings without any contact (which is well-documented) or the instances when humans strangely receive specific information about events that will occur in the future.

  • @genxvoice24 (Part 2) non-mystical and generally "no fun" when it's described that way, but it's also realistic. The brain is designed to make us feel or percieve things as vividly as possible. Unfortunately, those things are not always there to be felt or experienced.

The fact that they're inexplicable to YOU does not mean that they're inexplicable in general. And what's more, it certainly doesn't mean they are truly "spiritual".

  • @genxvoice24 You are correct; "God" can stretch beyond those specific doctrines. My apologies.

However, the fact that you've "experienced" things does not mean there is any validity in them. I've studied psychology for over 7 years and have personally spoken to those who have "experienced" things that they could not describe as anything other than supernatural or spiritual. And yet, when one studies the brain, they realize that such experiences are simply delusions. It sounds boring and

  • @SeedsOfHatred I think you are making an assumption that any belief in a higher power equals a belief in the extremely limited concept of God presented in ancient Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. A simple claim of belief in God, Higher Order, Divine Spirit(s), Pantheism, etc, does not imply a belief in the personified "Man in the White Robe." I base my beliefs on experience and I've experienced too many unexplained premonitions and occurrences to overlook a spiritual existence.

  • @genxvoice24 You seem to be on the right track, but you REALLY don't see the incredible irony in the words you say.

You tell us to use our brains, yet you believe in God. You realize that the Bible should not be taken literally because many of it's claims are clearly unrealistic, and yet the one claim that you feel is legit. is the mention of God.

You're making a very logical and atheistic argument, but you retain a belief in God.

    This makes little sense.

  • @beethovensheir1234 "Hahah your commitment to Logic is also faith, so we're equally stupid"!

No, logic is an abstract system for inference that when applied in practice, allows to infer from a set of assumptions a set of conclusions, that assume nothing except the initial set of assumptions.

    Faith is belief without evidence.

There is no 'believe in evolution' because it's a matter of comprehension. It's not a series of random events. Don't comment on things if you don't know what they are.

  • *facepalm*

  • @bsgrep And by the way, anyone who is serious about there faith uses logic. Faith is not devoid of logic, it is intrinsically linked.
