The Watchtower Society deliberately misquotes secular authorities, and deliberately gives out misinformation about medical treatments. As a result, hundreds of thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses died needlessly, including children.

Parents do NOT own their children. Every individual is born with the right to LIFE. I find it ironic that JW's don't believe in abortion because they say they value life, but then they'll let their children die. Parents rights should always be scrutinized by the court system anytime they want to threaten the life of an innocent child, regardless of their religious rationale. the thing is, medical emergency is just that. so this could be a quick decision thing. so courts do not have time to step in. Now some do okay without the blood. bloodless surgery centers are gold standard of care for some situations. This is not a black and white issues in some ways. Sad.
