RECIPE FACT SHEET

INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

425g Can of Tuna (drained)
50g Butter
1 Brown Onion (peeled and chopped)
1 Stick of Celery (chopped)
1/4 Cup of Plain Flour
2 Cups of Milk
1 Cup of Grated Cheddar Cheese
1 Bread Roll (torn up roughly)
Cooking Oil Spray

Preparation Time: About 10 mins
Cooking Time: About 15 minutes

SERVES 4

ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD METRIC

  • Looks good. Do you think this would work with turkey or chicken instead of the tuna?

  • @jfsoller Absolutely - brown some diced chicken or turkey breast in a fry pan until cooked, then add it into the mornay sauce as I did with the tuna ;)

  • I got done preparing this about 30 mins ago. I added some carrots and spinach to the original recipe. It tasted divine, and was quite filling i'll tell ya... :)

  • mmmm Tuna mornay....I make a bechamel sauce first, then I add onion and capsicum until soft. Then corn and tuna...yum! Thanks for sharing, one of those recipes that everyone does differently!
